To join OGMP 2.0, companies sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UNEP to formally express their adherence to the OGMP 2.0 Reporting Framework. Companies are first asked to fill in the company related information in the MoU template. The completed MoU is then sent for UNEP signature, which usually takes around one month.

Once the MoU is counter-signed by the company, it officially becomes an OGMP 2.0 member. UNEP organises an introductory call with the new member company to discuss the reporting requirements in more detail and answer any remaining technical questions.

There is no fee associated with joining OGMP 2.0. However, member companies commit staff time to meet the OGMP 2.0 reporting requirements, participate in the work of OGMP 2.0’s technical task forces and mirror groups, and attend Steering Group meetings.
