Meet the team

Giulia Ferrini manages OGMP 2.0 and is one of the co-founders of IMEO. 

She has 12+ years of experience at the UN where she worked on the design and implementation of climate change projects. 

Her experience led her to work with governments, financial institutions, the private sector and not-for-profit organisations involved in climate change mitigation. 

Giulia holds a MA in International Relations from the III University of Rome, in Italy, and a MSc in Politics and Governments from the London School of Economics, in the UK.

Tania Meixus is a Senior Advisor in the OGMP 2.0 team, with 15 years of experience in the gas business in different departments of Enagás, involved in international organisations, environmental regulatory development & policy analysis, as well as coordinating environmental projects. 

During the last years, Tania has been focused on the management, quantification, and abatement of methane emissions. Tania was chairwoman of the methane emissions group in Gas Infrastructure Europe and coordinated the OGMP 2.0 mirror group of the gas mid/downstream segments. She was also deeply involved in other associations and initiatives as the European Gas Research Group (GERG), MARCOGAZ, the Methane Guiding Principles and the International Gas Union (IGU).

Ricardo is a Data Analyst supporting OGMP 2.0 and IMEO. Before joining UNEP, he worked at the Office of the Chief Economist at Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) performing quantitative and qualitative research on energy markets, air pollution and climate change. 

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master’s degree in environmental engineering from Columbia University in the City of New York.

Monika Oczkowska Bergeron is the Coordinator of the OGMP 2.0, and leads the overall coordination of the International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) under which the Partnership operates. 

Before joining UNEP’s Brussels Office as a policy officer in 2019, Monika did research for the Energy Centre of Jacques Delors Institute in Paris, worked at the Representation of the European Commission in the UK and for national diplomatic institutions in Brussels. Monika holds a master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and a dual BA degree in European Social and Political Studies from Sciences Po Paris and University College London.

She has 25 years of experience in data analysis, with particular expertise in utilizing data for strategic and tactical recommendations. 

As an experienced analyst of global gas markets and team leader, Jen is dedicated to advancing net zero goals in the industry through meticulous data analysis and the development of high-level tools. Her expertise in scrutinizing satellite imagery, well data, and emissions trends positions her to contribute significantly to initiatives like OGMP 2.0, promoting transparency across the natural gas value chain to credibly reduce methane emissions and strengthen the environmental case for natural gas. Jen holds an advanced degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Vasile-Cosmin Trif works as a Technical Expert on the OGMP 2.0 team. Before joining the team, Cosmin has worked extensively on methane mitigation within the oil & gas industry. 

Cosmin holds a BSc in Natural Gas Engineering from ULB Sibiu, Romania and a MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Montauniversitaet Leoben, Austria. For more than five years, he has worked on various oil and natural gas engineering projects in Romania, either on land or at the Black Sea. 

Cosmin has over six years of diverse experience gained working for IOCs and NOCs in the oil and gas sector, contributing significantly to various aspects of the energy industry, including developing and implementing strategies for methane detection, quantification, and mitigation using cutting-edge technologies. His background as a Petroleum Engineer provides Cosmin with practical field knowledge, enabling a comprehensive understanding of potential methane emission sources across the entire oil and gas infrastructure. 

Debbie Walker is a Senior Advisor to the OGMP 2.0 team. She has extensive experience in upstream oil and gas operations and methane emissions monitoring, reporting and reduction activities, having held various roles across both environmental and facilities engineering functions within Chevron.  

In February 2022, Debbie joined the World Bank Group’s Global Flaring and Methane Reduction partnership as a technical advisor where she supported collation of global gas flaring data and analysis from satellite observations and was the lead author of GFMR’s annual global gas flaring tracker report. She also provided support to developing economies on flaring and methane mitigation, associated gas utilization technologies and effective regulatory and policy mechanisms. In July 2024, Debbie joined the OGMP2.0 team where she will be primarily supporting OGMP2.0’s NOC members.  

Debbie holds an MSc degree in chemistry from the University of Glasgow and a PhD in atmospheric chemistry from the University of Cambridge. 

Gabriella Lorance is the Junior Coordinator of OGMP 2.0 and works on the team coordination of UNEP’s IMEO.  

Prior to joining UNEP, Gabriella gained a bachelor’s degree in Physiological Sciences from Marquette University, on a Pre-Medical track. She also has previous background in various clinical medical settings. 

Ogochukwu Ndidiamaka (Ogo) Ikegwuonu is a Technical Expert on the OGMP 2.0 team and is an experienced environmental professional with over 10 years of expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) emission management for onshore and deep water assets.

She holds a B.Eng in Environmental Engineering from the University of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria, and an MSc. in Energy and Environmental Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, UK. Ogo previously worked as an Environment Supervisor at Shell Petroleum Development Company, driving the delivery of quality GHG and Energy Management Plans, facilitating trainings, tracking abatement opportunities, and supporting the implementation of the Oil & Gas Methane Partnership (OGMP) 2.0 framework.

Seungyeon Ko is an OGMP 2.0 data analyst with strong background in data analytics, visualization, and integration.   

She holds a BS in Materials Science from Chicago and an MS in Data Analytics Engineering from Boston. Seungyeon’s expertise spans creating interactive data visualization dashboards, particularly using Power BI, Power Query, and DAX, as well as integrating various data sources.  

Her prior experience as a Data Science Consultant at the UN honed her skills in developing clean, visually appealing, and intuitive dashboards, which she also embedded into web applications for enhanced accessibility. Seungyeon has a proven track record in accurately analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting large datasets.

Colette Schissel works as a Data Analyst on the OGMP 2.0 team, utilizing her background in methane measurement techniques and their accuracy. 

Colette is a researcher specializing in developing measurement informed methane emission inventories.   

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, in addition to a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, Colette has previous engagements with Scientific Aviation and the Gas Technology Institute.  

Georgie Passalaris is the Asset Manager Engagement Advisor for the OGMP 2.0 team. She is a senior sustainable development leader with over 15 years of experience in corporate sustainability roles, public private partnerships and impact measurement. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s in Tri-Sector Collaboration from Singapore Management University. Georgie’s expertise lie in designing and delivering sustainability strategies and social impact initiatives with a focus on stakeholder engagement, diversity and inclusion. 

Her notable achievements include leading the development of a global social impact programme on gender empowerment and developing and leading the impact measurement and management practice for the World Economic Forum’s grant-funded multistakeholder partnerships.

Lisa Solomchuk is a Senior Advisor to the OGMP 2.0 team and is an environmental expert with particular expertise in air quality and emissions management and mitigation.  

She holds a B.Sc. in Applied and Environmental Geology from the University of Calgary and an M.Sc. in Environmental Economics from the University of London. Lisa’s career began in air quality, working for consultancies before joining Shell, where she spent 15 years in various roles related to air quality, methane, greenhouse gas emissions, environmental management, and business development. During her tenure at Shell, Lisa served as the Global Expert for Air Quality, a role in which she set internal standards and corporate direction for air emissions improvements, in addition to providing technical support, developing best practice guidance, and delivering implementation plans for upcoming external reporting changes. 

Raphael Hanke contributes a strong background in economics, business informatics, and data science to the OGMP 2.0 team as a Data Analyst.  

He holds a master’s degree in information management from KU Leuven, Belgium, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. With over four years of experience in big tech and scale-up companies, Raphael has honed his skills in data science, analytics, automation, and product development. His career journey includes notable roles at IBM, Uber, and Fonoa, where he developed expertise in programming for analytics, visualization, and ETL processes. Initially starting at Uber with a focus on analytics and automation, Raphael later transitioned to a product manager role at a fintech startup, leading the development of a new data reporting product.

Mrinali Modi is an OGMP 2.0 Data Analyst, specializing in emission estimation, dispersion modeling, and geospatial analysis. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, where she focused on developing emission inventories of criteria air pollutants at fine spatiotemporal scales, with a particular emphasis on unconventional oil and gas development. 

During her PhD, Mrinali simulated dispersion of methane emissions to create digital twins of an oil and gas production regions in Permian Basin, and evaluated detection capabilities of continuous monitoring networks. She also collaborated on several environmental impact analyses, climate risk assessments, and supported the development of Greenhouse Gas emission inventories during her internship at Ramboll. Previously, Mrinali worked as a Process Engineer at Reliance Industries Ltd. in India, managing normal, shutdown, and start-up operations of a petrochemical facility, collaborating across disciplines to optimize operations and enhance workplace safety.  

Proficient in air quality models such as Calpuff, AERMOD, and CAMx, and skilled in Python and R programming, Mrinali excels in handling extensive spatial datasets and creating detailed plume visualizations.
